A/V & Automation Installer

Job Description

Crescendo Designs is the Premier Home Technology Company of the Hamptons. If you're looking to join a great company and team we have and immediate opening for an experienced technician for Audio/Video, Home Theater, CCTV and Home Automation projects.


Typical Daily Responsibilities include:



  • Retrofit and New Construction Low Voltage Wiring

  • Coaxial Cable, Data, Telecom, Control Wiring Terminations

  • Installation of Speakers, Televisions, Projectors, Network Equipment, Automation Equipment, CCTV Systems, Telephone Systems and Shading Solutions

  • Structured Wiring Distribution

  • Equipment Rack Wiring

  • Programming

  • Report to Project Manager and complete daily work orders on project status and requirements

  • Other Duties as Assigned


Required Experience:



  • Experience with various home automation systems such as Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Savant, and URC (minimum 2 years)

  • Basic IP Networking (minimum 2 years)

  • Telephone Systems

  • Low Voltage Wiring (minimum 2 years)

  • A/V and Automation Equipment Installation (minimum 2 years)


Other Candidate Requirements:



  • Maintains a positive attitude at all times

  • Has a professional appearance

  • Works well with team members

  • Communicates well and can lead other team members

  • Can maintain high expectations of customer satisfaction

  • Possesses a clean NYS driver's license

  • Has own hand tools

  • Is capable of lifting heavy equipment (50 lbs. or more)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
